I need a marriage look-up for Calloway Co. between 18800-1894 for William T. Atkinson (or variations) and Mary Lynch.
William was born in Henry Co., TN in 1862 and Mary was born in TN but have no specifics on her.
William's father was John W. Atkinson living in Henry Co., TN. A resercher in Henry Co. did a marriage look up there on William and Mary but had no luck.
I appreciate the hard work that it takes to do this and would like to thank you in advance.
Glenda Atkinson Smith

Thank you for volunteering to do lookups for Calloway County! I am looking for info on Thomas Benton Brown and wife Feriby J. Wood. Feriby is nicknamed "Puss". I know that Feriby is born ca 1847, I think T. Benton died 10 Nov 1923. other than that I have no info. Family info says that they lived at Hazel and had 2 boys and 1 girl; of course, I have no names. Thanks for anything you can find. Kathy

My great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Ward is buried in Smith Cemetery, Golo and we suspect that his mother, Aquilla Miller Reed Ward is also buried there but there is no inscribed stone with her name. There are several field stones there and we feel she and possibly her first husband Joel Green Reed is also buried there, possibly even her second husband, Jonathan Ward. We are looking for any information to confirm this. We would like to find any living relative (possibly Smith, Reed, Brewer or Thompson) that might give us infomation on earlier burials. Would you know of any family that might be connected to anyone buried at Smith Cemetery? Thanks so much. Gene

I looked in Calloway Co., Ky. and Marshall Co., Ky. for any marriage records on William T. Atkinson & Mary Lynch. I found nothing in either county. I think some of the original marriage record books are missing for Calloway Co. because the book that I have covers 1823 - 1859 & 1886 - 1947. The only year between 1859 & 1886 that I have a listing for is 1875. Sorry I couldn't find anything for you. Kelly

Hey, I finally looked for the info you wanted. Buried in the Hazel Cem. are:
Feriba J. Brown, wife of T. B., b- 27 May 1846 d- 25 Jan. 1909
Thomas Burton Brown b- 27 Dec. 1845 d- 10 Nov. 1923 (no stone) (I am typing his name in like it is listed in the cem. book above. Because I know you have him listed as Thomas Benton.)
Lalla (Acree) Brown, wife of W. K. Brown, dau. of Edward & Mattie Acree, Lalla b- 23 Oct. 1877 d- 10 March 1912
I assume since she was buried there with them that she was a dau.-in-law.
These were the only Brown's buried in the Hazel cem.
Also found:
Edward (E. C.?) Acree b- 5 May 1846 d- 2 Sept. 1901
Mattie (Marberry) Acree, dau. of Marian Nance & Frank Marberry, Mattie b- 2 Dec. 1859 d- 8 Oct. 1919
I couldn't find any info showing that Mattie was born in Calloway Co.
I have found no other info on W.K. Brown either. Cannot find him buried in Calloway Co. Didn't find him listed in any census' either.
1900 Calloway Co., Ky. census I found this:
Thomas B. Brown age 54 head Dec. 1845 m26 Ky. S.C. S.C.
Heriba Y. age 53 wife Nov. 1846 m26 3-3 Tn. Tn. Tn.
Mary T. Brown age 19 dau. Aug. 1880 single Tn. Ky. Tn.
Also found Ed F. Acre and wife Mary M. I think this was possibly Edward and Mattie (don't know for sure.)
It shows that Ed & Mary had 9 children with 8 still living at home and one had died.If you want me to send that census info to you let me know. This will give you a little more to work with maybe. Kelly
