Jennifer, how did you obtain your list? Our family has an ancestor - Joseph Benjamin, convicted of petty thievery - who came to the colonies on the Justitia. I'd like to know who else came with him.

I obtained mine from another researcher who got it from the Public Records Office in London, England. I don't have an address for them. You could try the City Archivist, Corporation of London, PO Box 270, Guildhall, London EC2P 2EJ. Hope this helps.

Was just perusing this site and reading about the Justitia when I ran across your message with Joseph Benjamin.I,too,am an ancestor of J.B.I found (or my mother did)him listed in a book titiled "English Convicts In Colonial America."We never knew why he was transported so your message was very exciting to me.Do you have any other information you could share with me?I would be happy to let you know what I know.I did use his service in teh AMerican Revolution to join the DAR about 6 years ago.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
