Hi: I'm doing a family tree (novice) and I wondered if we could maybe communicate to see where we connect. Verne Ruthruff

Joseph Elwell born Sept.29,1835 and Married Harriette (Hard to read writing)Slayton, born April 2, 1841. Their children were Edward, Harrison, Charlie, Hattie Josiphine, Samanthia, George, Melvin, Sumner, Joseph, Joey, Cynthia, and Ada. I do not know the heritage or where they were born. But My grandfather Melvin was from Michigan and married my grandmother Alta K. Klein in Redfield,South Dakota, and later moved to Washington state. This is all the information that I have. I would appreciate any light on heritage and origin. Thank you.

Hi kandijean2000, We are related. Joseph is my 2nd great granduncle. His brother George W. Elwell is my 2nd g-grandfather. Their father George E. Elwell is my 3rd g-grandfather. I haven't done much on Joseph and his family yet but I can give you the info that I have so far. Most of the work I've done is on George W's family because that's where I fit in. Hope to hear back from you soon. Sharon

Hi Cousin Sorry that I did not get back earlier. I rarely get on my email or go to ancestory. Can you tell me more about when they came to the US and from what country. I believe that they came from England but that is only a guess. Do you know if anyone in the family was around Battle Creek and if they were Adventist's. My father's side of the family has always been a mystery to me. I would appreciate any information that you have. Thank you ahead of time. Sincerely. Kandi
