I am researching the family of John Coulter and Jane Henderson. They immigrated from Fermanagh, Ireland (although some say John was born Scotland) in 1841 to Montreal with their daughter Ann (m. Nathaniel Stuart/Stewart). There they had Mary(m. Robert Morrison), George (m.Maria?), William(d. 1870). Then they went to Peel county and had Joseph ( m. Martha Cooper) and Sarah Jane (m. Edward Siddell/Siddle). They appear in the 1871 Census for Toronto, Peel and the 1881 for Terra Cotta. They both died in Terra Cotta and are buried at Glenwilliams. Children Ann, and Joseph lived Terra Cotta all their lives. Their families include the following surnames: Bristow,Mc Nally, McNabb, Townsend, Puckering, Cowdy, Ferry, Ferris. Daughter Mary lived Toronto, had eight children. Her daughters married Shannon, Westlake, Jackson. Son George is in Sunnidale, Simcoe area and later Thornbury ON. Then I lose him.

Surnames: Smith, Coulter, Turvey
I have a Jane Coulter Smith, married to Thomas Smith, who was born in Enniskillen, Fermanagh County, Ireland. In 1851, they resided in Hillier, Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. Jane was born approximately 1806. Her son Paul Smith is my wife's ancestor.

Do you have any information on the Coulters in Ireland? I also have a note that she was Scots-Irish.

She also apparently later became Jane Turvey

Please email me directly lhess@shaw.ca and I will respond there. I cannot assure you that i have what you want but have done bits of research in Fermanagh and am willing to share those bits. Jane certainly could be part of the family. My Coulters did come from Scotland to Ireland I think (many - not all by any stratch of the imagination -of the Irish in the Northern counties were Scots first.)
Curiously my John Coulter's death cert claims he was a Scot
