Looking for family of Patrick Monaghan and Margaret McDade. family lived in St. Sylvestre, Quebec in early 1800s, moved down to Alpena, Mi. in 1870s. William Monaghan and five sisters, Kate McKelvey, Ellen Gavagan, Bess Gallagher, Mary Anne Martin, Margaret Fitzpatrick.

In early 1800's there were at least 6 Monaghan families living in St Sylvestre.. possibly all related in one way or another. I am descended from James Monaghan and Margaret Baird who came in 1850 from ? Ireland

I have a Sidney McDade brn 1896, died 1972 in Flint, Michigan. His SS card was issued in Michigan.I don't know where he was born. He married Reta Ballantyne, brn 1897 Ontario & died 1991 in Michigan.Reta belongs in my family tree.
