Hello,

Was your James Taylor of Peoria a mine inspector for the State? Living on Bigelow St in the 1920 census?

I am not related but I have been researching my great-great uncle Thomas W. Thompson, who was a businessman in the Peoria/East Peoria area from 1910-1965.

James Taylor and wife Rebecca were witnesses to my uncle Tommy's marriage in 1926. In 1918 my uncle was living with the Taylors at Bigelow St.

Hence, I researched a little about James Taylor.
He was born 1853 in England. Emigrated to the US with his parents. Spent some time in Kansas but moved to Peoria.

If this rings any bells feel free to contact me. I have some info from coal reports of the era that mention this James Taylor.

I am trying to track down descendants of this particular James Taylor in the hope that they may possess a photo of my great-great uncle's wedding.

Regards,
Martin,
England.
