HARTMAN Family in Baltimore
I am searing for any information on Joseph HARTMAN (1849-1929)and his wife, Barbara LEIMKUHLER (1853-1910). They had eight children in Baltimore, Maryland who married into the following families: PLUEMER/BYERS/GREENSFELDER/NELSON/ROWE/ DAWSON. The family was Catholic.
Any help would be appreciated.

You wouldn't happen to have an Edward Hartman (b. ca. 1878) in your family file? Married to a Florence (Paul) Witzler? Thank you so very much. Tina

I also have Hartman family in Baltimore! My great-great-grandfather was Frederick Hartman. he was born in Waldeck, Germany, immigrated around 1850. Then married Frederica Hammel. He was a shoemaker. They had 11 children, but only 4 lived into adulthood - Adam, Eva Birrane, Mary Wagner, and Frederick. This was also a Catholic family. They went to Holy Family church, and I've found a ton of info from the MD state archives website!

Re: HARTMAN Family in Baltimore
I know Hartman is a very common name, but it is amazing how many unrelated ones were in Baltimore.

Re: HARTMAN Family in Baltimore
Agreed! I have more information on Frederica Hammel Hartmans's family, but nothing else on Frederick Hartman. Time will tell if he had any relatives that joined him in Baltimore.
