It has been a long time since I have posted to this board, so I thought I would put my names out there in hopes someone is researching the same names:

Toronto:

James McGrand b. Ireland d. Toronto 1897
Spouse: Anne Devine McGrand b. Ireland 1841, d. 1930 Toronto. Parents: James Devine and Ann Brady.

Children:

Mary Agnes, Rose (married a Griffith) James, became a priest and has a school named after him in Toronto, Bridget (for two census then name changed to Bertha)married: Michael Moran.

Mary Jane, Elizabeth and Margaret who married my Great Grandfather Joseph A Sweeney.

Hoping to find out where in Ireland these people were born.

Have a great Easter,

Karen

Most of the other census except 1901 say she was born 1841.

1901 census Toronto
McGRAND
Ann, 31 Oct 1844, 56, Ireland, immigrated 1870, RC
F Agnes, 7 April 1876, 24, Ont,
Lizzie, Sept? 6, 1875, 25, Ont
Mary, Nov 6, 1874, 26, Ont

1911 census says she was born Nov 1850, Mary Nov 1878 and Elizabeth Apr 1881.
Also says Ann immigrated 1876.
Only thing consistent is that Ann was born Ireland.

According to birth regos, John James as born 1 Jul 1875; Eliza/Elizabeth 4 Apr 1871; Agnes 12 Apr 1873.

Death rego gives birth as Oct 1841. Informant was daughter E McGrand so I think she would know.

Any chance there is something on their headstones? Lots of times it says 'native of ==== Ireland.
