Am searching for my cousins father, Jorge or George Roberto Meza. Unsure of first name spellings. Last known living in Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas. I think he was born there. b.1940. Father Ezequiel, mother Maria. Jorge was adopted. His daughter was an infant when her parent's divorced. Need bio. for personal reasons.

You recently requested some information from me regarding Manuel Meza. I replied but the e-mail message was returned to me. Here is a copy of that e-mail:

Dear Heather,
Thanks so much for reaching out. I wish I had a lot of information for you so that we could determine a definite connection, but I'm afraid I have very little. This is what I know about Manuel Meza:

He was born in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico; perhaps in the city of Chihuahua but we are not certain nor can I find any record of his birth. Based on my grandfather's age I figure he may have been born between 1850 and 1860. He married Elisa Sosa who was from the state of Durango. We know of 5 children that they had together: Cornelio, Gabriel, Elisa (the only daughter), Rosendo (my grandfather) and Florentino. My mother (Celia Meza) and uncle (Ruben Meza) remember that there was a Juan Meza who was my grandfather's cousin but they do not recall who's son he may have been. Juan Meza married Concepcion and they had several children: Concepcion, Sylvia, Hector, Alberto, Juan Jr., Adolfo, Emma, Martha, and Bertha.

Unfortunately, I have no other information. Many of Manuel's children and grandchildren left Mexico but I haven't been able to find out where they settled in the U.S.

Thanks for the info you have more than I do. I have found the Meza family headed up bu an Urbano Meza Born in Mexico and I have his children and there families but I have no Idea who his brothers and sisters where of who his parents were and that is what I need to know. My husbands grandmother was Mary Margaret Meza but I haev no idea who her parents were because she was raised by 2 old aunts. My guess is that she belongs to someone in the family.
I did find ond of the sons still alive and living in Corpus Christi Texas so I am going to write him, he is 80 years old. I have found that the Mez'a all lived a long time.

Not sure if tou have a full memebership to Ancestry (i do)but there are alot of records on there for Meza family members many in Nueces County Texas. I have seen some of the names you mentioned when I have been searching. If you don'y have access I don't mind checking things for youmany people have helped me over the years so I have no problem helping others.

I spoke to my mother in law Mary Olga Meza daughter of Ezequiel and she has a lot of information for you. Even her concept of "maggie" and how the aunts came to take care of her....and who all got the heirloms and personal belongings. Olga said this email brought alot of lost memories back to her that she hadn't thought of for years. Olga sister Elia (mary ellen) Meza who lives in texas would go and visit maggie often.

I'll ask olga if she wants to give you her telephone number and you can call her...how about that?
