The 1910 Potter CO census listed a household for Will O. Hanshaw. Will O. Hanshaw was listed as age 42 and born in KY. His wife was listed as Ella, age 35 and born in TX. William O. Hanshaw married Louella Queen in Williamson CO, TX in 1900. There were no children listed in their household in the 1910 Potter CO census. Seeking information about or descendants of William Oney Hanshaw and Louella Queen. Thanks.

My great great grandfather is William Oney Hanshaw. His only son was William Lowndes Hanshaw. Who married Drula Jean "not sure of her maiden name as she refused to talk about her family" but those were my great grandparents and William or "Brownie" as his friends called him lived in to the mid 90s.... maybe like 97 or so. I will get you solid dates asap I just need to ask the family as I was young. Maybe 10 when he died. But his wife "Granny" as we affectionately called her lived until 2012. I was very close with both of them. As om sure you have learned W.O. orked for Santa Fe railroad and was also a talented carver. Some of my favorites of his are carved from peach pits. At any rate i would love to connect with you and see how if in any way we are related.

Rewards can result from responding to 16.5-year old messages!(lol) I'm not related, acquainted, or author of the original posting. Your precious "Granny" died 18 Feb 2012 per SSDI in Chehalis, WA. She was on her second marriage to William S. Russell per public records. Per obit, she was born 30 Sep 1913 in Dublin, Erath County, TX. Although parents are not part of obit, they are easily found. Andrew "Drew" Pinkney Ross wed Jewell Taylor ca. 1905. Edna Turner ca. 1902 joined her mother in the family that grew to include: twin boys (Harris A. and Harry U. ca. 5 Jul 1908) and Jeanette aka Drula Jean. In 1930 TX-Stephens-Breckenridge-District 1-Image 22, find Jewell Ross with the twins and Jeanette. There must have been a divorce 'cause Andrew P. Ross not found with Jewell and the kids after 1920? Andrew died 4 Jan 1947 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, TX. The informant did not know names of parents and also failed to sign death certificate.

Andrew Pinkney Ross registered for WWI (Erath) and WWII Drafts (Tarrant) with consistent birth of 15 Jun 1878. His parents were Joseph Newton Ross and Frances "Fannie" Mullican. They wed 16 Dec 1870 in Fannin County, TX per application for Civil War Widow's Pension. The pension also lists his death as 20 Jun 1920 (Erath) and her as 21 May 1927 (Tom Green). Andrew's siblings were: Hattie Ross Akin (16 Dec 1876 - 28 May 1947) and Joseph Ira Ross (8 Oct 1882 - 29 Sep 1944). Supporting documentation for Hattie in the form of find-a-grave memorial in Erath. Joseph is a "best guess" based on census records tracing him to Arkansas and death in Pulaski County. Feel free to challenge anything forwarded. I don't mind being corrected in a public format in fact I welcome such responses. Too many public family trees are filled with errors and that simply rubs me the wrong way.

Mikehanshaw86: RSVP this posting. I've researched much info for your tree and it needs to be shared publically. In that way, errors can be identified and reconciled. Lookup find-a-grave memorial: Elias Butler "Pomp" Queen II (15 May 1856 - 11 Jan 1925) in Williamson County. He was Lou Ella's father 'cause she was not born in KY. I'm aware you logged-on today so why hesitate?

She died (27 Dec 1882 - 22 Jan 1965) in Orange County, CA. She and William O. wed 21 Oct 1900 in Williamson County so you'll find her with family in 1900 Census there.
