It seems we are looking at the same family. The years are approximately the same, give or take 1 year due to census vs baptismal/birth records. The marriage date is spot on! The son Charles's second name is Alexander, he was my wife's grandfather. The other siblings' names are identical.
Please note the following email I sent to Arisaig Church in Antigonish County, but there's been no follow-up:
Hello Clive; I received your e-mail requesting info from our parish records. I will attend to this during the week when I am at the parish office. Hopefully the information is available in our records. - Fr. Colin F. MacKinnon

Dear Father MacKinnon,
I am writing you hoping to find some information relating to my deceased wife's family tree.
My records indicate her grandfather was a Hugh MacDONALD who married a Catherine CAMPBELL in St Margaret's Church, Arisaig. I have found this record on the rootsweb and the marriage was on 22 Jan 1856. Other records show that Catherine was born in June 1835 in Georgeville or Cape George, NS and I assume that Hugh was born about the same time but I'm unaware of his birthplace.
The above rootsweb also show a John MacDONALD married on the same day and place to a Flora MacDOUGALD. I wonder if this could be a double wedding of two brothers?
As far as I know, the above Hugh was a farmer in Antigonish, but later moved to Port au Port, Newfoundland where he farmed and fished. The family later moved to Cape Breton where his descendants are now.
I was wondering if your church records show the parents' names for these two weddings in 1856? If this is the case, would it be possible to view or obtain a copy of these and any other related BirthMarriageDeath MacDonald documents? I spoke by phone to Jocelyn Gillis at Heritage Ass'n of Antigonish and she advised me that what I found on the net was the same that she had.
I would greatly appreciate any information you would have in this matter.
Sincerely,
Clive Hatton
A reply would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers,
Clive
