John Tannock (Tunnock) b6 Feb 1859 in Monkton, son of John Tunnock & Margaret McKail
married Mary Dunlop 28 April 1882 in St Quivox - Mary was born abt. 1862 in Maybole, daughter of Archibald Dunlop & Mary Caldwell.
John & Mary had the following children and I suspect there are others:
Marion Dykes Tannock b June 1882 in Newton on Ayr - named after John grandmother who married Quintin Dykes after the death? of John McKail her 1st husband
David Dunlop Tannock b Oct 1889 in Newton on Ayr
Jane Dykes Tannock b October 1891 in Newton on Ayr

While searching for 'my' James McKail for 2-3 years now and While I was in Salt Lake City last week I foundhim and some of what you have posted.
Briefly: I found a Marrion Murphy d/0 James Murphy & Margaret McConnell born in Monkton,Ayr; her 1st marriage was to a John McKail and 2nd marriagewas to a Quinton Dykes [7 days after banns were read on 5 March 1853]. Marrion's daughter [from her 1st marriage]married John Tunnock/Tannock.

May I suggest we continue this 'thread' "off-list"?
