Re: William H. Whatley of Auburn, Lee County, Alabama
Hello Paul, I regret that it has taken me so long to reply. William Henderson Whatley (1833-1891) is my great-great grandfather and I have a lot of information the family. He first married Mary Ann Johnson Curtis (1837-1872) Their children: Thomas Mayfield(1856-1930);Robert Simeon;William Dawson; Theodore Adolphus(1864-1935)-my great grandfather; James Virgil; Charlie Curtis(1867-1933); and Effie Vitula. Wm. Henderson's second wife was Susan's widowed sister Susan Curtis Estes. Their children were Edgar Jewell; and Mary Ann Clara(known as Mamie). Charlie Curtis married Esther Cumie Lynch and I will list dates and children in my next message. They had 12 children.

As my earlier message went out I noticed an obvious error. Wm. Henderson's second wife was Susan Curtis Estes and she was the widowed sister of first wife Mary Ann Johnson Curtis.

Re: William H. Whatley of Auburn, Lee County, Alabama
hi, My name is Andi Lerae Whatley, My father was Andrew Leary Whatley, who passed away in 2001. My Mother is Annice S. Whatley who knows more about the the history of the Whatley family than anyone I know. My father Leary, was president of the Whatley reunion for I think about 15 years. T.A. Whatley Jr. was my grandfather, and T.A.Whatley Sr. was my grandfather. WE have lots of original artifacts that we have are very protected of our family and have we have a lot of pride in what we have. Author Whatley was my grandfathers brother, married to Jimmie Dupree Whatley, their children were Lily BeuWhatley Gowder Whatley , Oleta Whatley Parker, and James Author Whatley, and ALL of their children and grandchildren. Simion Whatley and Albert Whatley were the 2 other brothers of Arthur and T.A.Whatley.
I am proud of my family and the knowledge my mother knows. My father (Leary) was very proud of his family and very knowledgable of the famliy history....
If I can help in any way please let me know and I will see what I can do..... I am proud of our family ! Hope I hear from you soon. Proud daughter of Andrew Leary Whatley.

Hey Andi, My name is Cindi Parker-Thornton. My first husband was Frank Parker, Oleta Whatley's son. Oleta know more about the Whatley family than anyone I know. She had a book about the Whatleys. Unfortunately, Frank died is 1999 and relations with the Parker soured. I however have two children and I would like them to know their Parker heritage. My daugters name is Natalie Dupree. Anyway I would like as much info on Jimmie Ann that you can give me. I would really appreciate it as I have come to a standstill with her.
