I am looking for any info about Major General Clarence L. Tinker. I am related also to Oliver J. Tinker from Mass. born abt. 1813. Do you have any more info? I was told there was a book published about Clarence. Does anyone know where to find one?

I have an autographed copy of the book...You would call the TinkerField Airforce base in Oklahoma City, OK and ask for the historian who wrote the book for the Government, General Tinker has two known living relatives left (at that time) that were given the majority of the books to give away and The Hisotrian will send you a copy if you can proove your related, if they have any left...Let me hear how it works out!

Do you know how Genaral Clarence Tinker and oliver J Tinker are related? From what I know... Oliver is supposed to be his Uncle. Any idea? Oliver is my Great-Great-Great Grandfather! Thank you for responding. Edward Potter Tinker is Oliver J. Tinker's oldest son. Edward Potter Tinker would be Clarence's Uncle. (As far as I know.) If you have more accurate info please let me know. I have gotten my info from my Grandmother. How are you related to the Tinker Family? I am the Grandson of John Ross Tinker and Velma Lois Searle/ Tinker. The Great Grandson of Hiram Alwin Tinker and Anna Bella Luce/ Tinker.And the Great-Great Grandson of Edward Potter Tinker and from my knowledge his wife went by the name of Frankie.Great-Great-Great Grandson of Oliver J. I'll get to the book as quick as I can, His Family tree is in the back of it! I had several copies that I gave out to my family because they think I am his Great Neice, But I can't get the military to show me where that got this information...I do not see any connection!

I located my copy of the book Father of General Tinker was George (Ed) Tinker His Father was George Tinker his Father Jonathan Tinker. GrandFather George Tinker was born in New York Raised in Ohio...

Try calling 405-739-7023 and ask for James Crowder Jr. the author of the book, maybe he still has some left.
