Was having trouble tracking down Nelson and David and Julia Pennock....so Julia is Southwind married to David.

Isn't Southwind the chief who signed the treaty?

Anyway William Beauregard marries Julia Bachand......their daughter Margaret Beauregard marries Edward Samp (kidnapped German youth from Bonduel Waukechon Shawano Wi area) who is named Aaron Denny.

Yes, you have it correct. I also have it written down that Julia Southwind was the sister of John Southwind who "signed the Treaty with the Whites" I can only "assume" that, that would mean that he was the Tribal Chief in that area. Though I have no proof of any of this, just hand written notes on photographs.

Almira '26' years old in the 1850 US Census for Lyme, Jefferson, New York is too young to be David, Nelson's etc. mother.....she probably is a second wife for George. Or this is simply the wrong tree (George could be a brother of David and Nelson...marries Almira and they have two children).

I've contacted the 'Pennock' genealogists/historiians to see about George's Connecticut upbringing.

4. Son John Elihu Thomas married Hattie Marie Green.

I have been working on the ancestry of David Pennock who married Julia Southwind. Father of David was Elihu Pennock born 1791. Mother was Elizabeth Fort. David was born 1825 in Washington Cty New York. His brother Homer married Annie Hardcastle and had two children, Homer and Jerome. Interestingly, this Pennock family is well researched and so Davids ancestry can be traced back to Yorkshire England to about 1580. Elihu was the son of Samuel Pennock. One of David's daughters Mary Emma who married TC Thomas named her son John Elihu Thomas; Elihu Pennock was her grandfather. The Pennock family history is very interesting. Elihu was a drummer in the war of 1812. I am happy to share.

New information from a Pennock family researcher indicates that David Pennock's mother was a Betsy Unknown, Elihu's first wife. His second wife was the daughter of Lewis Fort, Elizabeth Fort.
