I have a book given to me by my Dad about the history of Henley, titled:

HENLEY MISSOURI, YESTERDAY AND TODAY

Written by Anna Mae Whittle (1989)
It says additional copies can be obtained from the author at:
Box 27, Henley, Missouri 65040
Hope this helps!

I have written the author to see if I can get a copy. Would you mind doing a look-up for me? Any information on Joseph and Polly or Charity Russell and their children. Joseph married a Charity after Polly's death.

Thank you, Janell

Hi, Janell

I looked thru the book (all 67 pages<g>)but only found Tom and Finis Russell, sons of Jim and Mary Russell, but no Joseph, Charity or Polly. The book, according to my Dad who grew up in Henley, is like a "walk down memory lane". It cites the founding, rise and near extinction of Henley.
It has a nice selection of pictures from the late 1800's to 1989 and is rich with the history of Henley. If you can't get a copy, let me know, we'll figure something out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Sincerely,
Sandy

Jasper McMillin married a Betty Hackney. I did a history on the McMillen/McMillin family. Descendants of Robert McMillen from Tennessee to Missouri. Let me know if this is your line.

Regarding the author of the Henley History Book, Anna Mae Whittle passed away several years ago and I don't know who got any extra copies that may have been left. You can find a copy of that book at the local library in Jefferson City, It is a good book. Is your grandfather buried in the Henley Cemetery? I was just wondering as our church takes care of that cemetery. Have a nice day. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.

Thanks Ruthie
