Can anyone tell me when the New Grace Hospital opened in Vancouver.

I can find info on the OLD Grace, but not the new one.

I did know that it had changed it's name, but I am of the understanding that there is and "Old" and a "New" Grace Hospital.

I have gone into that web site you provided for BC Women's but there isn't anything in there to search for a history on the building.

Thanks for your previous site information on Grace and Maywood Home.

At BC Archives they list a couple of pictures on "New" Grace, but are not available online. I was down there on Friday, they have 4 pictures on slides that say "Old Grace" hand written on the boarder. So this is a false lead!
Looking back on the pictures from the 50's I can clearly see it is the same building.
Which makes me wonder if it is one of the same?

I have been in touch with the Salvation Army and they forwarded my email to the Archivist in Toronto, I'm still waiting for a reply.

Maybe my best bet is to email the Vancouver City Archives or the City itself and see what information they can provide.

I have to say thank you for all the information you have provided on this site since I have subscribed.
You and Claudia are a wealth of information.
I quite often look at your postings to see if they can assist me in any way.

If you can come up with any other options they will be greatly appreciated.
