James Phelan, Wisconsin marriage witness
My maternal grandfather Ray Albert Fluker was born in Harvard, Illinois in 1884 and married my grandmother Theresa Kirzinger in Madison Wisc. April 29, 1915. Witnesses were James Phelan and Mable Fluker. My grandparents moved to Detroit and in the 40's I remember visiting a Phelan Farm in the Michigan Thumb area. Don't know the connection between Mr. Phelan and my grandparents. Relatives or just friends.

Re: James Phelan, Wisconsin marriage witness
Thanks for the info. Don't know of a James Phelan, son or grandson of my Great-Grandfather, James Phelan b. 1839 in Ireland, migrated to Torrington, CT in 1862, & disappeared 1872 after his wife, Ann Fanning, died in childbirth of my Grandfather, Frank Phalen, on December 1, 1871.
