Your original query about Goeldner's is over 4 years old. Are you still looking for information. I have hundreds of Goeldner names in my family tree. My Great-grandmother was a Goeldner. What do you need?

My name is Roy Buch of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I married into the Goeldner Family in 1956 and since my retirement have been trying to trace my wife’s ancestors
mainly in Silesia, Prussia, Germany. I stumbled over your answer on the message board to Connie Miller stating that you have a vast index of Goeldner families in your family
tree. I thought that you might be able to help me as I am looking for connections with Daniel Gotthelf Hermann Goeldner, and any information on how they migrated to
Australia

Goeldner, Gustavus Adolph Goeldner and Adolph Herman Goeldner before migrating to Australia in about 1858 ?
Daniel Gotthelf Hermann Goeldner parents were Hermann Goeldner and Maria Rosina Klein married in Giebsdorf, Silesia, Prussia

Ruth,
I also have innumerous Goeldner's in my family tree that all settled in Keokuk County, Iowa. I am currently living in Germany and trying to trace them back further, but I don't have any hard data on where they came from, other than Silesia, which was part of Prussia at the time. I'm looking for a town, though. I've seen both Posen and Obisch on different websites. Can you confirm either of those as correct?

Scott

Hi SCott,
I am sure we are related. I just spent 4 days in Keokuk County getting information and am far from done. I went there last year., There are a lot of relatives. My g-grandfather and grandparents(Gus Schreyer and Loyal Newell's) used to live 5 miles from Albert City, Iowa where Dr. Nauman used to practice and I know they visited often.
I hate to write on and on and not have it get to you. Earlier today I tried to send you a regular e-mail and it came back as unknown address. If you get this please acknowlege it and then I will tell you what I know about where they came from in Prussia.
Why don't you e-mail me personally and not go thru here. I live so far out in the sticks I have trouble with good internet connections and sometimes Ancestry.com runs way to slow and it drives me past my level of good naturedness.
