In a spot check in my ancestral area around Valasske Klobouky, I found 2 Soja's in Popov, 1 each in Stitna Nad Vlari, and alittle further west, in Slavicin. I can fill you in on the details and check other nearby villages if you like.

Re: Soya from Bojkovice-KASSIK
About 8 yrs. late but if you are still around, I am researching Kassik and have some information on the family that arrived about 1874 and settled in Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma.

As I posted above, I have Kassik from in and around Bojkovice, Moravia ? Can you trace yaour KAssik branch back to Europe yet ?

Re: Soya from Bojkovice-KASSIK
No. All I have is that they arrived in US 1874 and this is based on the death of one child who died at sea on the way from Europe. First found in 1880 US Census which lists them as born in Aust-Bohemian and my great aunt, before her death, said they came from Kolin.

Re: Soya from Bojkovice-KASSIK
Jen Koshick and family are recorded in all later documents as "Kassik". I am not sure of the original spelling of the name before USA so that is also making it difficult.
