I'm looking for info on who has the records for the cemetery in Alva. I went there once last year but the office was locked up. I don;t remeber the name, I just know it overlooked a city swimming pool.
Any info is appreciated.

Thank you Patti: It's possible that the 6 month old was one of my dad's borthers. I doubt the second child would have been from the same family.Perhaps a cousin. I don't know about the 59 year old woman-Rhoda, unless she was a grand-mother to my adoptive father.

I am curious if Henry C. Smith (1838-1906)and Martha Ann Smith (1842-1937) are listed in A.O.U.W. Cemetery, Alva, OK.

We were there years ago, and there are no markers. A man working at the cemetery told us to go to the City Hall. We followed his advice, and they had a plot map with the burials listed. If you do not find your loved one with a marker at the cemetery, you might try the Alva City Hall records. That is the first time I have ever found records at a city hall in any state.
