Jane married a William Blackledge. Lived in Stark Co., Ohio. Any information most welcome.

Jane Ann DeVaux was a daughter, one of four children that survived. Her father was Jean Francois DeVaux and mother was Mary Teresa DeVaux

This is my great-great-great grandmother on my fathers side. Do you have any other information on her. Her and William's daughter Samantha married a John Marshall. Anything would be appriciated.

I don't think we are on the same track. Jane ann was born to Jean Francois DeVaux and Mary Theresa in Stark Co OH on Dec 16 1828. She married Wm Franklin Blackledge on Dec 19 1850 in Stark Co. OH. She died in ILL Feb 06 1908. They had 7 girls and 2 boys.

I'm sorry Shannon. I jumped the gun and did not look in my records before I replied. Wm did have a daughter Samantha and the only thing we had was that she was born in 1862 to the best we know. We did not haave anything on who she married. We have quite a lot of info on most of the others.

She is my relative. Born January 27 1862 died October 11, 1948. Married John Marshall in West Salem, IL. What else do you have on her family? For Jane Ann I only have 5 girls and 2 boys.

I was born in Robertsville, Ohio to Arthur and Gladys Clapper.
My grandmother was Lucinda Jane Blackledge (Clapper). Her father was James Franklin William Blackledge. Her grandmother was Jane Ann Deveaux (Blackledge). I know nothing but they came from France, and Jane Ann's father, John Francis Devaux and Joseph Robart purchased the property which became Robertsville. John Devaux had possession of the eastern part of the property, but later traded plus $ for the western end.
If you've heard of Ronald and Todd Blackledge, father and son football fame, they also came from Jane Ann's line.
I would enjoy any information.
