I am searching for information on my gggrandfather, a Frenchman, called Ludovic Eugene MARIE. He arrived in Victoria in 1853 and proceeded to the Wangara District. I believe he ended up building a hotel at Whroo, after failing to strike it rich. Has anyone heard of this man, or are there any reference books or publications of this area I can research.
I live in WA, so they need to be resources I can access from the Perth Library.
