The Master Surname Index of over 800.000 names (not online) (mostly burials in Alberta cemeteries) of the Alberta Genealogical Society lists only this one Thrush name;
Arthur Walter Charles THRUSH, 1919 - 19 Feb 1996 (H41758 Royal Wpg Rifles) buried in the Leduc Cemetery.
Next door to the AGS Library is the Edmonton City Archives, they hold all copies pf the Edmonton Journal, so I had a look. This is what I found in the obituary.
"On February 19, 1996 Arthur Walter Charles Thrush on Leduc, passed away at the age of 76 years at the Leduc Genearl Hospital. he was born on May 31, 1919 at Cambridge, Wales. He is survived by his loving wife Doris, son, Brian (joyce) of Sylvan Lake; daughter, Shirley (Robert) of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan; six grandchildren. Arthur, Mark, Tracy-Lynn, Avaline, Jay, Jody; ten great-grandchildren; two brothes. Glen of Fort St. John, B.C., Benny of Winnipeg, Manitoba; four sistes Mary, Lois, Kathleen all of Livey, Ontario and Pearl of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his mother, father and five brothers. Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel, Leduc "
