My grandmother, Barbara Ferencz, immigrated to the U.S. around 1914. She was an ethnic Hungarian born around 1894 or 1895 in Maly Hores (Maly Gyres?) which is now in Slovakia close to the Hungarian border. She considered herself to be Maygar Hungarian. Her mother's name was Barbara Illes (Illesova?). She was married twice before coming to America and left 2 sons, one who was names Andrew (last name unknown). She married Peter Lupes here in America and had 5 children (Mary, Helen, Peter, Stephen and Teresa) and lived in West Caldwell/Caldwell and Verona, New Jersey. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
