My ggrandmother was Armantine Antoinette Springler who married Pierre Romain Granier 4 MAY 1867 in Vacherie, St. James Parish, LA . How do you tie into this family?

Joseph Honore Walker (parents Honore Joseph Theodore Walker and Edmire Berthille/Berthilde Guidry) was born Oct. 15, 1862 in Raceland, Louisiana. He died 1944 in Louisiana.

Married Julia Grabert Jan. 5, 1886 at the Raceland Church (possible Babtist) and then at the Thibodaux, La courthouse both records show on Jan. 5th.

Joseph Honore married Marie Justilia (Julia) Grabert on Jan. 5, 1886 in Thib. Ct. Hse., / Raceland Babtist Ch. Lafourche, LA. Marie Justilia (Julia) (parents Justin Onesippe Grabert and Marie Marguerite Arthemise Folse) was born Jan. 13, 1870 in Raceland, Louisiana. She died 1939 in Louisiana.

Joseph Honore Walker and Marie Justilia (Julia) Grabert had the following children:


1. Leon Joseph Walker was born March 28, 1908 in New Orleans, LA. He died December 14, 1953 in New Orleans, LA.

2. Sidney Walker was born Jan. 18, 1897. He died April 1967 in New Orleans, Orleans, LA.

3. Joseph Noe (Noah) Walker was born July 3, 1900 in Raceland, Lafourche, Louisiana. He died Feb. 1966 in 70374 Lockport,Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.

4. Anna Walker was born December 22, 1892 in Raceland, Louisiana.

5. Therese Walker.


Listed in the South La. 1903 records. Therese married Joseph Arsement Oct. 27, 1903. (seems impossible?)

6. Elmire Walker was born Oct. 25, 1880. She died Jan. 1969.

7. Edna Marie Walker was born March 25, 1903 in Raceland, Louisiana. She died October 1979 in Louisiana.

8. Edith Walker.

9. Justin Walker.

10. Paul Alcee Walker was born Dec. 7, 1897 in Raceland, Lafourche, LA. He died October 1975 in Lockport, Lafourche, LA.

11. Alcide Walker was born May 25, 1895 in Raceland, Louisiana.

12. Joseph Walker was born July 26, 1888 in Raceland, Louisiana.

Elmire married Frank Meyer Sr.. Frank (parent UNKNOWN Meyer) was born Feb. 16, 1905 in New Orleans, Orleans, LA. He died May, 1970 in 70117 New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA.

Elmire Walker and Frank Meyer Sr. had the following children:


1. Frank Jr. Meyer.

2. Phillip Meyer.

3. Harold Meyer.

4. Ethel Meyer.

Thanks for that reply. My Springler/Spingler/Spengler/Spangler connection is my great grandmother in the mid to late 1800s. They were in Lafourche and St. James Parishes, and I've really not had much luck finding much on them. Guess I just have to keep looking.

Have you ever looked at the "Terraboune Parish records"? Well is something like that. From what I hear they are very detailed records. I will look into it also for you.
