Can some one tell me if Saint Aloysius Orphanage located at 4721 Reading Road has an alumni?

Its funny that one would remember an address from almost 50 years ago.

Thanks for the help
Deb

Dear Deb,
If you have found the Alumni page please let me know. I am searching, at the request of my Sister-in-Law who used to live at St Aloysius. Her name then was Jo Anne Nay but she was Adopted in 1961 as Nancy Jean Herking. Her birthday is 14 jun 1952, She is looking for her BFF Betty Hile who was adopted by the Cooper family of Dayton Ohio.
Please let me know if you have any information about St. Aloysius or if you remember Nancy.

Thank You, Patty Peterson

Patty, did you know Betty or Tottie as we called her when we lived at St Al's? I moved from Ohio in the 70's. Thirty-eight years ago I visited St Al's and met with Sister Mary Urban, she told me that Tootie/Betty had been adopted and became a school teacher. Are you in contact with her or do you know how I can contact her?.

There is no Alumni for St. Al's any longer the attendance was so small it was disband.

About six years ago my sister, my mom and I visited St. Al's and we were given a tour of the grounds, the chaple the basement and some of the first floor. I also took pictures. Walking the ground my sister and I were traveling down memory lane of my early days living at St Al's. It was a nice visit and nice memories and St Al's is still very pretty.

If you e mail me I can give you a number for you to call and maybe they can help with your questions. I believe there are archives kept for St Al's when it was an orphanage.

Is your sister in law in contact with any of the folks that were house at St. Al's?

If I should learn of anything new for St Al's I will contact you and I hope you do the same.

Thank you
Deb

Nita, There is no Alumni for St Al's any longer but they hope to have a reunion and a web site in the future for us who lived at St Al's.

All the records that were kept on us who lived at St Al's have been shipped to Cincinnati Museum Center. The Chief Operation Officer for St Al's, Joan, expressed that she and others are working on a possible exhibit at Cincinnati Museum Center for St Al's Orphanage.

In order for ST Al's history to live on, the orphanage needs people like us to be willing to tell stories of our life and years while at St Al's. There were four of us at ST Al's and we now live in different states but I know that one of my sisters and myself plan to share our life story when we lived at St Al's Orphanage so that it can be used in the exhibit if they wish to.

Also you can purchas your records from Th Cincinnati Museum Center if they are found. My records, my brother's and my two sisters records were found and have been shiped to me. I can give you the names and phone numbers to contact if you want to share your life history while at St Al's.

Please past this on to any one who you know that may have lived at St Al's so that our history at St Al's can be shared with others.

Contact at St Al's for those of us who are willing to share our life stories for the exhibit at the Cinn Museum Center
Joan 513-242-7600 ext 247 CEO

Contact for Cinn Museum Center where St Al's records are stored
Anne 513-287-7070

I am passing this information on so that others like myself who are in search of our records can locate them for personal reasons or for genealogy research has a place to begin .

I hope you can us the information. By the way both ladies I talked to by phone returned my call and were willing to take the time and share with me the future road of St Al's.

If I can help in any way please feel free to contact me.

Enjoy
Debbie
