I have been told that the surname BOZIER is of Huguenots origin. Could anyone substantiate or deny this understanding.

Best regards,

Hi Trevor -- it would be helpful to know where and when you are researching and what info leads you to believe that BOZIER is of Huguenot origin.
It is not the surname itself that has the Huguenot origins but the individual who has that surname. Therefore, the only way to find out if there are Huguenot connections in your own ancestry is to research back into the past and find out if certain individuals were Huguenots.
It may be helpful for you to read a section of the website for the Huguenots-Walloons-Europe (HWE) mailing list which is titled: Which Surnames were Huguenot Names? You'll find it at: http://www.island.net/~andreav/hugnames.htm
Good luck with your research! Andrea (administrator of HWE Message Board and mailing list)
