Looking for info on Fort Gibson Res. and the Cherokee Res , Tahlequah OK. Where can i find birth records for 1912 there.

If your "Res" mean "Reservation" for Cherokees-- there was no such thing.-- we were/ARE --- a Nation!
By 1912 this was the State of Oklahoma and the (few) birth records filed that early would be in Oklahoma City.

Isn' it amazing how people can insult without realizing it? Some terms used by people just cut right through me. Such as "sqaw" and "chief". Especially when I am asked "what God do you pray to?" And I am not real fond of "Indian" or "Native American" (which just means you were born in this country) we are "FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE". But hey, thanks for being so patient with the ignorance and continuing to help. I guess we should all be used to it anyway.

No matter what some one ses, someone in this mixing pot of ethnic groups, will be agitated or not happy with what was said. It is so hard now to just talk to people. They look for fault in every word,and move you make. The Cherokee family I know, are not like that. They taught me understanding, and forgivness. I don't judge by a persons posible mis-stated words. but what they do to others and for others. none of us walk on water, till we do, mistakes are made. and we must not critisize or minamize each other. We are all in this world trying to make it the best we can. what makes us unhappy, may not affect some one els the same. Try to help and be kind. love the life we have with each other. Amen

I found what I was looking for, after I posted this for help.-- Reservation's did exist, And some still do. Ask the Coushattas. I found decindants of my family and friends there.

Reservations DO exist-- but not around Ft Gibson.
