oil drilling in Coal County

We have a mineral right (40)acres in Coal County.
Within the last 3 weeks we have had 3 offers to buy our rights. This is the only interest in the rights for many years. DOES anyone know what is going on with drilling in the area? We are having difficulty deciding wheather of not to sell.
Thanks

NEVER sell your rights to your minerals. If someone wants them, tell them you will LEASE them. That way, you and your heirs will get an income if they actually recover any usable minerals from your land. I doubt they are looking for coal, though. Where I live, just a few counties north in McIntosh, they are drilling for natural gas.
