Quisiera informarme sobre el lineaje de mi abuela maternal.

Mi abuela nacio en 1910 en 'Jupare', o al menos crecio alli.

Su padre fue Trinidad Vasquez y su madre fue Maclovia Borbon, hija de Mariano Borbon. Parece que Mariano fue uno de muchos hermanos que en 1920 emigraron a los Estados Unidos Americanos, donde se hicieron ciudadanos y sirvieron en el ejercito durante la segunda guerra mundial.

Yo pienso que 'Borbon' no es un apellido muy comun en las Americas, y agradeceria cualquier informacion que me brinden.

My grandmother was born in 1910 in an extremely small town called 'Jupare', to a man named Trinidad Vasquez and Maclovia Borbon daughter of Mariano Borbon.

Mariano Borbon either had four brothers, or was the son of one of those five brothers who settled in Guaymas, Sonora, and eventually migrated to the U.S., through Arizona; which someone named Laura mentions on this website.

My family believes that Mariano was one of the Borbon brothers related to Laura (who has communicated with you, on this message board, and seems to be your cousin, here in the States).

'Borbon' is anything but a common surname. Which leads me to believe that person with this surname are related.

I emailed Laura and she replied with an offer to provide further information, as well as a Borbon information website.

I was so jazzed up about her offer, because I thought that I might finally have a way to trace my lineage.

To my demise, that was the last communication I ever received from Laura.

So, Sandy, if you are somehow related to Laura, you're somehow related to me. Have you any information I might check out? Please, let me know.

If you look on this Ancestry site you should find the Borbon family tree that I made. This is the most up to date tree in my immediate family so far. Next year I plan to travel to Guaymas and Obregon to gather more information, my deceased grandmother has only one brother who still lives. I am in Arizona now, searching out 'Borbons'. I am returning to L.A., Friday morning.

Do you have the 'exact' address, so that I can find the location of your family tree?

Is there any way you can email me a copy of the family tree you have compiled? I was unable to either access or find the family tree you suggested I find in 'this' website.

When I tried the computer wouldn't allow me to view anything unless I paid a membership fee and joined and purchased the family tree software. And, I've not yet purchased my lap top, because I'm spending my money traveling to gather my information, since it's so much funner: I get to meet interesting people, and see beautiful places this way.

This is becoming costly, but is important to me. Are you located in L.A.? If you are local to me, during my visit with my family, in L.A., perhaps we can meet, and I can interview you, you know, take notes. So, this is why any information you can share with me would be helpful.

I am glad to share any of my findings with you upon each return. I will email you direclty, rather than posting on this board, to provide you with my cell number, in case you can meet for a few minutes over tea or coffee.

yes I am sorry it took so long to respond. My grandfather was named Ramon Borbon and my grandmother was Rosario Borbon. Please let me know if any of these names match yours.
