I'm trying to locate an obituary for Vearl Benoy, died 05 Apr 1993 in Dixon, Ill. His wife, I believe, was Marjorie Fry.

Dixon is in Lee County, Illinois; not Edwards County, Illinois. Edwards County has a Dixon Precinct, but the City of Dixon is in Lee County

According the the SS index he died in Dixon, Edwards, Illinois, USA, so I'll assume that SS has their wires crossed. Thanks for the clarification!

In the 1930 census William and Jennie Bnoy and son Veral E Benoy lived at 721 south Miami Ave in Freeport, Stephenson county Illinois. Note that ? means I can not read the words for sure.
William is 48 occupation is ? ? machinery.
Jennie is 4?(blurry)
Marguerite W dau is 24 stenographer office
Vearl E is son and 17
Wiliam son is 16
Jack H son is 10
Joyce is dau age 4 and few months. All born in Wisc but the last two who were born in Illinois.
