My grandparents, Polina Zolotaryova and Lev Dubensky, lived in Elizavetgrad and emigrated to the US (Philadelphia) in 1922. They had one daughter, called Fanyura. Does anyone know of any relatives?

My grandfather was Leon (Lev) Dubensky, born about 1889 in Elizavetgrad, emigrated to the US around 1915 or 1916. He married Polina Zolotaryova while still in Ukraine. Polina and daughter Fanjura joined him in Philadelphia in 1922. Does any of this accord with your family history?

I am an independent researcher-genealogist-translator who provides genealogical assistance in different archives. Presently I live in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In Jerusalem there is Archives of History of Jewish people that I visited last week. I found there a few ELizavetograd files for the period of 1880-1912. There is no index of names so it is impossible to say in advance who mentioned there.
If you are interested in research I'll be delighted to provide an assistance.
I am going to be in archives next week.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Gregory Dubensky --
If you are still active on Ancestry.com, please contact me so we can discuss possible relatives from the Dubensky family in Kirovograd. My grandfather was Lev Dubensky, who married Polina Zolotaryova and then emigrated to the US, settling in Philadelphia.

Linda,

There are a few Dubensky (Дубенський) and quite a few Zolotarev (Золотарев), no Zolotaryov, living in Kirovograd. Would you like a few of their phone number and/or address?

Thanks for your response. Yes, I would like any contact information you have on Dubensky and Zolotarev families in Kirovograd. Email addresses are preferable, but postal addresses are OK, too. Although I speak Russian, I am unlikely to call them directly, without an initial contact.
