Am researching the surname NIEDERMEIER from the town of Grieskirchen in Upper Austria. At present I am most interested to know if church and/or civil records, pre-1700, are available for the town of Grieskirchen. A search of the LDS catalog yielded little.

I have been doing research on family tree also and would like to possibly see if we are from the same lineage. I have only information from immigration on March 27, 1854 from Pilsen Czech of my great great grandfather Peter (wife Barbara Ranner). His father was Johann and mother Margaret Rhumic. Peter was born in an area called Chotinschau, Bohemia, called Baden Austria about the time they immigrated. His birth certificate says Hradzen Parish, marriage certifcate says Oberscherzen Parish, Church of St. Martin and locates Oberscherzen in Naalse District. Any info on this or what you ahve found would be great and helpful.

My gr-gr grandpartents are also Peter and Barbara(nee Rauner/Ranner). They immigrated to Ohio. I might have the same information you have but would love to compare notes. I'll try to send you an email.
