I am yet another Orrick decendent. My g-g-grandfather was Louis (or Lewis) Orrick born in 1815 ( I don't know where). I have only been able to trace him back to his first child Sarah Jane, born in Tennessee. From there they moved to Illinois where his other children were born. His wife was Armealure Wilson.

I have also gathered that Louis may have came from North Carolina and the birth of his first child in Tennessee and it makes your posting look interesting enough to think there might be a connection with the Orrick's you are checking on. I have other information to make this more interesting. I would like to see if we can make a connection.

Michele,

Yes, I did receive your reply, thank you. I just know that this has to be the same Orrick line. I am thinking that the reason for the hardships in finding my g-g-grandfather's background may be due to the fact that his wife Armealure Wilson was supposedly a cherokee indian. Predjudice can influence alot of things in someones history.

I am also sending you a private reply. Hope to hear from you soon.
