I am looking for information on Harvey Scott b.22 Apr 1834 He married Adeline Kile/Kyle. I am trying to find his father I believe John Scott somewhere from the east, Penn, NY etc. His oldest daughter Madora Scott married Edward Derenzy if anyone in that line has information. Any other information on the family would be great too.

Hello,
Harvey Briggs Scott was the son of John Scott and Artemissa Frost both died in St. Clair, Michigan. Harvey is listed in the Biographical History of Northern Michigan 1905. He would have been my husband 3rd great grandfather.

Biographical History of Northern Michigan, B. F. Bowen, 1905 indicates that John Scott and Artemissa Frost died in St. Clair Co., Mi. There is bit more informtion about them as well.

I have a modest amount of information about Harvey and Adelina and their descendants.

The information on the Derenzy line runs to at least 20 pages.

I am a professional researcher in Antrim County. My rates are modest. If you wish, contact me at eldenj@antrimfamilies.com or visit my website: Antrimfamilies.com

These are my relatives as well. I have pictures of Harvey Briggs and Adeline Kile Scott. Harvey's first wife Elizabeth Terry was the mother of Madora Scott Derenzy. She is buried in the Dunsmore Cemetary in Central Lake, Michigan.
My email is suefeather@aol.com. Feel free to contact me.
Any info you might have on the Kile family I would greatly appreciated. I know Adaline's mom was Eliza Kile but i don't have a father listed. I have pictures of a Pete Kile with my great grandfather i think he may be a brother to Adeline.
Thanks,
Sue

Hi Michele,
I was wondering if you were still working on your genealogy. Touched bases with you about 11 years ago. Madora Scott Derenzy was my Great great grandfather's daugther (1st) of his 11 children.

Funny that you should ask. My mother in law just asked me to print up some Scott genealogy stuff for a local man who is friends with them. Willard Scott? He rides with my father in law to many of the local basketball games.
Keep in touch!
Michele
