Does anyone have family that immigrated to Hawaii on this boat??? Does anyone have any passenger lists.. I am almost sure this is the boat my family was on.. along with a few other families that were friends.. and cousins... If you know of this boat and have more info.. PLEASE contact me!!!!

I am a descendant from the Martos family, grandfather, grandmother, mother, sailing on the ship "S. S. Willesden" arriving March 1913, from Gibralter. There was a book printed by a lady called Anne Santucci, called Recuerdos de Espana. e-mail me and I will give you the address. In it, it has a picture of the ship, notice posted in Spain recruiting the Spaniards to Hawaii, very interesting book. It costs about $42.50. and I have her phone number if you want to call. She is in the Roseville area. She may have a copy of the passenger list also. Hope this helps. Betty

Hi, again, here is an e-mail address if you want to get the passenger list from the ship in 1913. perky@infostations.net His name is David. My family worked at the Sugar Mill in Aiea, when they arrived in Hawaii, fulfilled their obligation, then went to San Francisco, in 1915. Alot of the information for the Hawaii Sugar Plantations are in Hawaii. I guess I have to go there, "oh well" I'll suffer. Some is at the I.N.S. in San Bruno, Ca. Hope this helps. Betty

My husband's great grandparents came from Malaga to Hawaii on the SS Helipolis and we have a copy of the original poster from Spain looking for people to come work in Hawaii.

I also received a copy of the passenger list from David Perkins and he is very helpful. The book, Memories of Spain is wonderful and full of great thihngs, Festival, food, ships, etc...

If anyone would like a look up in the book, let me know.
