Francis Marion Platt was the son of Jonathan Platt, b. 1809 and Civility M. Lewis Platt b. 1809. They were married in Screven County, Georgia February 01, 1827. They were the parents of 11 children.

Wonderful info. There has always been a question. He died 3/22/1902 Groveton Tx and buried Glenwood Cemetery. I showed mother Civility Moseley with no further info. At one time I listed his father as Johnathon, born Early Co GA. My Aunt came up with the name Anthony Platt but I could not verify. One of his daughters, my great aunt was named Civility.
