I am looking for information on the Gumbs family that came to St. Kitts - probably from Anguilla, They were originaly from somewhere in Europe a few hundred years ago. The oldest member of my family that I know of is Stanley Gumbs (from about 1905 to 1970). He married into the Leverock family (Unice and Alice) from Saba.

I beleive there may be some connection, because I also just found out that my other aunt her name was Josephine maiden name is Fraites was married to a leverock, his first name is unknown to me.

Hi Paul My grandmother was a Gumbs from St.Kitts Her parents were Ezekiel & Eliza. She had 5 sis.& 1 bro.

My father was anthony gumbs of st. kitts. His father was randolph gumbs of st. kitts. his grandmother was a leverock from saba and his grandfather was stanley gumbs of st. kitts. I hope that is helpful.
