E.A. Groves died May 6, 1924 in Brookfield Township. Would like his obit to see which siblings were still alive. I have ordered some death certificates of other family members to see if I can find the maiden name of his mother. Also looking to see if his brother Theodore was still alive in 1924. Theodore was born abt 1841 just before E.A. so could still be alive in 1924. Also hoping to see if his sister Mary married and who she may have married. The parents were James and Ann, both born Ireland but likely married Ohio as all children born Ohio.
Thanks for any help
Peggy

Peggy, I have been trying to locate the obituaries you mentioned and when I did not find any of them in any of the obituary sources for Trumbull County, OH , I then tried to locate the family as you described them in censuses from 1850 on. I did not locate parents James and Ann Groves in the 1850 through 1880 censuses for Trumbull OH. I cannot find any death record in 1924 Ohio for an E. A. Groves or any records for a Theodore Groves, son of James and Ann, born from 1830 to 1850. Have I misinterpreted your message board posts? There should be some census or burial records for some of these people somewhere in Trumbull OH if this is where they were living. The Rutherford B. Hayes Ohio obituary index did not list any of them that I could find. Sorry that I couldn't help you. Nancy Smith

Thank you Nancy very much for trying. I found E.A. Groves on findagrave in 1924 without an exact date. I then phoned Trumbull County probate court and got anmexact date of May 6, 1924 although he is listed under Grover.I then ordered the Death certificate for seven dollars US and it is on its way . I am hoping it has Ann's maiden name on it and perhaps the exact place in Ireland where each parent was born. But I thought an obit might give information about the rest of the family including Theodore. I found James and Anne in Brookfield Township in 1850 with children Johnston, and Freedom K., also James and William and Mary and Errin whom I think becomes E. A . James and Anna are on the 1870 with James Vivian which has to be a grandson as they already have a son James W. I can't remember where I found Theodore unless he is between censuses .
I do have some documents coming from Trumbull County although I am not sure exactly what they are sending me. I did ask them to look for a will for the father James.
