I am seeking information on members of the McEvoy family, originally of St. Jacques, Newfoundland, later of St. John's, Newfoundland (some later moved to Brooklyn, NY).
I am particularly interested in the family of Michael McEvoy and his wife, Frances Ryan, and their descendants.
Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Murray Watson

I have no information on Burkes yet,but my GGGM was MARY BURKE(1792-1860),married to my GGGM John Greene II of Point Verde,Placentia. Do keep me in mind if you see any connection to your Burkes. She would have been from Placentia Bay/Burin area, possibly Argentia .Thanks.Ward.wardgreene@hotmail.com

Don: I know it has been years since I was last in touch (I have been out of the country for much of that time), but I wanted to check and see if this e-mail address for you was still valid, to see if we might be able to have some further conversation regarding the St. Jacques McEvoys and Burkes?
If so, I'd really appreciate it. You can reach me at: jmkwatson@gmail.com or by phone at 519-331-3213.
Best wishes and thanks,
Murray
