I am searching for the ancestry of Heinrich SCHOCH and Barbara STEHLI. They married in Ottenbach (Zuerich kanton), on 07.10.1565.
They had children there, particularly Anna born on 13.11.1580.

I am descended from a NZ branch of the Schoch family. My Great-Grandfather, George Adolphus Schoch was born in Zurich, Switzerland. I don't know when he was born yet but he he died in 1913 in NZ. His father was Professor Gustave Schoch, also born Zurich, Switzerland. He was Professor of Zoology at the Swiss Techinical University. I hope this is a connection. It would be exciting wouldn't it? Hi Pol,
I have indeed a SCHOCH line in the Swiss part of my genealogy. But it is very older than yours: 1550-1600!!!
I do not know if we are related. It is possible but I ignore how we could be related.
FYI, my SCHOCH line is from the area of Obfelden, not very far southwards from Zürich.

Bonjour from California, USA - How about Justina Schoch b: abt 1562 married to Jochim Bar on 03Nov1583? She died abt 1584 He was born abt 1558 in Knonau, Canton Zurich Switzerland and died before 1634
Child: Hans Ulrich Bar b: abt 1584 Canton m: Barbel Wyss

Sorry but I don't know your Justina. I know only a bit of my ancestry there, near Zürich. SCHOCH is clearly a name from this area, but the XVIth century is the beginning of our main genealogical written sources...

It looks like I may have this family in my genealogy. Anna's birth date is listed as 1575, her mother is listed as Margareta Schoch, b. abt 1541,and father Mathys Stehli, b. abt. 1541 in Ottenbach, Switzerland.

The only information I have is on the Stehli family line which has been verified at the Swiss archive and further confirmed by DNA testing. I have no further information on the Schoch family line.
