I have since found his WWII draft registration for 1943. He was then living in
Bishop, CA and working at the US Vanadium tungsten mine at
Pine Creek. I found a notice in "Desert Magazine" for July 1944, that the Red Cross was seeking his whereabouts for his nephew in Lom, Norway,
Nils Visdal. From another relative in Norway, I have found out that there is the belief that he was murdered. He had apparently saved up a stake and had plans to buy a hotel.
He had managed a small hotel in Seattle around 1920.
