Looking for information on William Ira (?) Cooley married to Polly Ann Brewer. Lived in or around Wayne Co. Ms in late 1800 and early 1900. Their daughter Polly Ann was my grandmother. She married Duries (spelling ?) Upshaw of Mississippi. Thank you for any help. Can not find a William Ira Cooley anywhere.

Could the last name of William be incorrect? I have this in my family tree...some similarities...look at vii...

Children of Patience Strickland (Muenger) and Howell Brewer are: 4. i. Henry Brewer was born 1811, and died AFT. 1880. He married Caroline Walley 1842, daughter of Gouldsberry Walley and Susannah (Susan) Gardner. She was born 1821.
6. ii. Jackson (Jack) Brewer was born 1814. He married Miriam Bagby 1850. She was born 1820.
iii. Greenberry "Green" Brewer was born 1818. He married Rebecca Manning 1853 in Wayne County, MS.. She was born 1830.
iv. Drury (Drew) Brewer was born 1820. He married Arcadia Walley 1836, daughter of Thomas Walley , Jr. and Elizabeth Gardner. She was born 1825.
v. Howell Brewer , Jr. was born 1824. He married Amelia Mellie Manning 1862. She was born 1835.
vi. William Nathaniel (Nathan) Brewer was born 1824, and died 3 MAR 1865. He married Mary Jane Vaughn 1850. She was born 1833 in La., and died 11 SEP 1889.
vii. Mary Catherine Ann Polly Brewer was born 26 FEB 1826, and died 2 JUL 1896. She married William A. Douglas 1850, son of Elijah Douglas and Rebecca. He was born 20 SEP 1826, and died 30 JUN 1900.
viii. Simeon Brewer was born 1829. He married Martha Ann Hudson 1870. She was born 1842

I have found my Ira Cooley since I posted this message. There are several Polly Brewer's in this family. My line comes from Drew Brewer-they had a daughter named Mary "Polly" Brewer. She is the one that married Ira Cooley. Thanks for the reply-looks like we have several relatives in common. My aunts always said everyone in Wayne County, MS is related!
