I am searching for ancestors/descendants of August ZIEMER, Daniel DALE, WHITE, JOHNSON, Marie JOSSART, Etienne DETIENNE, Catherine HANNON JOSSART; Ziemers lived where Interlocken park is in Fairmont; Detienne/Jossart are buried in Sherburne; the Johnsons are buried in Ceylon. My mom is a DETIENNE who lost most family contact because of the early death of her father. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob Esse, Little Falls, MN [formely of Freeborn co. Do you know if your ZIEMER ame from PA? I have a family who settled in Berks Co., PA. that immigrated from Germany in the 1700's.
Please let me know if there might be a connection.
Thanks.
Carols.

Rob,
My ggrandparents were Etienne DETIENNE and Marie JOSSART. I am a descendant of their daughter Jamina who was married in Martin County, MN and later moved to Montana. I would be happy to exchange information with you.

Information I have received indicates that the Frederick Ziemer family left Stettin, Bradenberg, Germany for the US in 1865. Originally staying in NYC area as a laborer, Frederick & family moved to MN in 1868 settling in the Fairmont, Martin co., area of what is now Interlachen park.
I would like to know more!

Rob! I think we may be on the same page here. Etienne Detienne is my gggrandfather b. 12-26-1834, Belgium, if this sounds right, I have some info for you. I have just recently been in contact with my uncle , who is in possession of a Detienne family bible. So let me know!

My gr-gr-grandpa Etienne Detienne was born 12/24/1824 in Grez-Doiceau,Brabant, Belgium, son of Jean Martin Detienne [1791-1844] & Marie Constance Draye [1788-1853.] Etienne was the fifth of seven known children. He left Belgium 7/6/1853 aboard the Quinnenbaugh. He married Marie Therese Jossart [1828-1910] in Belgium. Etienne died 4/19/1909 at his farm in Jay twp., Martin county, MN. Marie died there 9/16/1910.

Your Etienne is 10 years younger. You'd think though that we'd still be related. I am willing to send a file direct to you and would welcome more information from you.

Thanks, for writing Malcolm

Do you have a Catherine Violoise Draye as part of your Draye ancestry? She would have been married to Jean Michel Degreve. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I don't have her listed in the data base. What would be the approximate year of her birth? I have several Catherines with Maria as their given name.
