Take a look at amadorarchives.org. There was a town of Kirkwood in Amador County and that may be where the cemetery you seek is located. I found no reference to a cemetery by that name in anything I have on Calaveras County

Who is the person for whom you are looking? Perhaps it would help someone with your problem if you gave his/her name.

My friend is Bill Kirk in Spokane. He does not have internet access. Supposedly he has ancestors buried in the Kirk Cemetery in Calaveras County (Amador used to be part of that) and he has been trying to locate it.

I meant to ask what is the name of the person/persons supposedly buried in the Kirk Cemetery?

I believe I have the answer as to where the Kirk cemetery is located. Last night I was reading a book,"An Album of the Pioneer Schools of Calaveras County", and on page 31 under the heading of the Chaparral School it says :"The Chaparral School was established in 1875 from portions of the Jenny Lind and Comanche districts. The school house was situated near the cemetery on the Kirk ranch, about 1/2 mile south of Stone Corral."
The Stone Corral ranch still has a sign on Highway 26 below Valley Springs so the Kirk Ranch must have been near there. The photo in the book of the 1906 Chaparral School kids names the following families: Cardoza, Crewdson, Crusty, Dickhaut, Fugitt, Hanson, Hatler, Higginbotham, Neal, Stull and Weir
