Need access to 1880 Census for George Freebury and Lavella. They were married in 1877 in Floyd Co. Need to locate parents and sibligns of George. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Believe they lived in Charles City.

I have been using the 1880 Census Records on a CD set that I borrowed from our Library. While I was doing my research for my family, I did look for your Freeburys. Could not find George and Lavella in Iowa, Minn., Missouri, Dakota Territory, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, or Wisconsin. Found some Freeburys in Iowa (Bassett, Chickasaw Co. just east of Floyd Co.), Nebraska, and Illinois. I printed the records just in case you would want them. Let me know.

My great grandparent are form Iowa and some of the names you mentioned I have found in my grandmothers Bible.
Try looking for George Freebury in England. I found a James and Mary there. I know some of the Freeburys came from England.
Would you know the parents of Frederick Ernest Freebury or Mary Hill Freebury. They were my great-grandparents. Several Freeburys came from England, Iowa, Minn, and Wis.
Have you looked on the LDS web site?

Jennifer,
I found a George Edward Freebury in my grandmothers bible.
The date of his death was Oct.23,1909 at age 55. If my math is correct that would make his birth 1854.
will this help you? Do you have another e-mail address the metapho@sbcglobal.net will not work for some reason?

Jennifer, did you ever locate George in the 1880 census? If not, I did. They had a daughter Mabel (age 1) by the census time.

Hello Jennifer,
My name is Diane. I have been researching the Freebury genealogy for
some time.
My gggrandparents were Mary and James Freebury. Fred Freebury was my
grandmother's dad. Her mother's name was Amanda Tharp or Thorp. They
had 3 children John W., Elmer E. and Izie O. ( my grandmother) Her name
has been incorrectly spelled many times. I have Grandmother's bible with
all this information in it. She has Phoebe's name in it but only had
the date of her death. She died at 26. She also has a George Edward
Freebury that died in 1909 at the age of 55 . John and Elmer were born near
Bassett, Iowa. Izie was born in Niles, Iowa. I have their dated of
births and deaths in her bible. I remember Uncle Elmer, he was tall and
seemed nice. Grandmother married a Henry Hoeft.
This pass week I received a copy of Mary and James of their deaths
from the Nashua Reporter dated March 2, 1911, also a copy of Grandmother
wedding announcement. I'm looking for some family pictures. If I can
help in any way please let me know.
Diane

Diane, I just happened across you reply. Oh my you have so much. I have some of that info but not all. I do have James's death certificate but I don't know his parents or Mary's parents. Email me so we can get together with our info. I am so excited, I have been researching this for over 20 years now and I haven't found anyone else with more info.

How are you related to the Freeburys?
