Hello I happen up on this post and was delighted . This may be a long shot but my great aunt Caroline Lockett b.1861 was married to a George Grigsby she was born in La. to Davy and Sally Lockett both born in Ga.. The two families lived down the street from one another in the 1870 census Caroline latter married a Manual Ford in Arkansas'.
could ther be a connection to your Grigsby's maybe?
also was the cemetary you mentioned a common place of burial for Blacks ,I have been trying to locate the grave site of Davy Lockett was that a common burial place for Blacks if so I will request a search for my Locketts also has the names been put online from that cemetary you mentioned in your post.

Good Morning, I do not know anything about a George Grigsby, but Sally Grigsby was born in 1877 to Sophie (Sophia) Lambert, who was bought by the Grigsby's. Sorry.

Surnames: Carter Gigsby Scott
Hello,
I am writing in regard to the listing of offspring for Jessie and Rosie Scott. My grandmother's brother Tommie Carter also called "BOOTMAN" yes BOOTMAN was married to Jessie's daughter Theo Grigsby. Both died in Minden,LA in the 1980s. I am interested in the Mt. Piagh Settlement is the same one that included the Mt. Piagh church and cemetery? I am interested in communicating with any of Theo's relations. Thank you for the posting.

Surnames: Buggs Martin Henderson Taylor
are the person interested the surname Bugg or Buggs?
If so here are marriages that I found:
Elijah Bugg married Myris Taylor in Sept 1940
Willie Bugg married Annie Martin Jan 1940 in Homer.
Nathaniel Buggs married Ima Henerson in 1034

I did find the surname listed as Bugg and Buggs in the same parish.
