Many "Filzens" lived in Brown Co. Anyone have a connection to them? Thanks

I have been looking for descendants of Christian FILZEN who married Maria Frances KIOES, and of Joseph FILZEN who married Catherine KIOES. The FILZENS were brothers, and Maria and Catherine were sisters and the daughters of Philipp and Elizabeth (SCHMITZ) KIOES. The KIOES family emigrated from Luxembourg and the FILZENS from Prussia to New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota. Christian FILZEN and Maria KIOES were married in Luxembourg.
Do you think there is a connection to whomever you may be researching?

I'm uncertain. My Filzens came from Germany late 1800's. My great grandmother was Elizabeth Filzen. She lived in Milwaukee. Her parents were George and Catherine. I'm not sure they came to America. This has been a road block for me for some time. Not to many people looking for Filzens. I do know that there were several Filzens that settled in Minnesota(Brown Co, New Ulm). Sorry about that. Thanks for the reply.

Did you ever get a response on the Filzen clan? My wife grew up with a Filzen family from New Ulm Minnesota in the 60s and 70's, most of this family still remains here in New Ulm. I can call some or email them if you like. Please advise, Duane at dvpiere@yahoo.com Good Luck

The only Filzen listed in my index "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items", is Katharina Filzen, died in 1909. These were family death notices published in both the morning and evening editions.
