Tempy was a Lousiana resident - she was the slave of Col. W.R. Stuart and his wife Lizze McCauley. I am seeking her prior owners and /or her history before she was purchased by the McCauley family as a wedding gift.

I'm also seeking any information about Temple "Tempy" Burton. I believe she's my great great great grandmother. My dad lived in Ocean Springs before his family relocated to New Orleans. From information I've gathered from my grandmother, I think you and I may be related...cousins. ( I saw info you posted on the Ocean Springs site). Please contact me.

Whenever I read a query with the Smith surname from Ocean Springs my interest is peaked. My gg-grandparents were Edgar and Anna Dove Smith and ggg-grandmother was Johanna Smith (Blount). By any chance, do of any these names rest upon a leaf in your family tree.

I'm not familiar with the name Dove from what we've discovered so far from my branches of the family Tree, but have come across someone on here who has Dove on their list. I believe his Ancestry.com name was Onyxx. (Are we allowed to do that? lol). My Dad, Robert Stuart Smith (from the first post), has mentioned the name Blount before. I will toss that back at him.
